H Clinical supports all clinical trial types.
From phase I to phase IV, traditional to decentralized, our expertise enables patient-centric clinical research in Latin America.

Through home visits and supportive infrastructure, we offer clinical research solutions that simplify all varieties of clinical trials across 22 countries in Latin America.

Our solutions help support traditional and decentralized trials by providing in-country patient recruitment, clinical research staffing, equipment and supplies procurement, and an integrated network of clinical research sites. For sponsors, CROs, and research sites, H Clinical is a fully integrated patient organization that is the most trusted source for delivering patient-centric trial experiences and home healthcare in the region. What sets H Clinical apart is infrastructure. The ability to scale over distance and multiple nuanced cultures demands boots on the ground and a logistics strategy that streamlines studies.

No matter how your trials are defined, we have localized experience, in-country resources, and unmatched ability to simplify your studies.

Simplify your clinical trials with home visits, patient recruitment, infrastructure, and clinical research site network solutions.

Phase I Clinical Trials

Phase I trials test experimental drugs or new treatments for the first time with a small group of fewer than 100 people. Researchers evaluate safety, determine a safe dosage range, and identify side effects. Phase I studies usually last several months and can include people with or without medical conditions.

Phase II Clinical Trials

Phase II trials test experimental drugs or treatments with a larger group of people (often between 100 to 300 participants) to see if it is effective and to further evaluate safety by monitoring side effects, in addition to testing different doses and concentrations to develop treatments for maximum effectiveness and for varying severity of medical conditions. Phase II clinical trials can run for up to two years or more.

Phase III Clinical Trials

Phase III trials test experimental drugs or treatments with the largest groups of any phase, usually more than 1,000 people, to confirm its effectiveness, monitor side effects, compare it to commonly used treatments, and collect information that will allow safe use. This is the last phase of a study before submission for approval.

Phase IV Clinical Trials

Phase IV trials are often referred to as post-marketing studies. Approved drugs or treatments continue to be studied to provide additional information such as long-term effects, risks, benefits, and best use. Often treatment is coupled with patient support programs to ensure care plan adoption and boost patient retention. Home visits for patients with severe maladies and travel limitations can also be helpful to boost patient safety and help provide comprehensive assistance for complex treatments.

Traditional Clinical Trials

Traditional trials are performed entirely at a clinical research site, which can include research institutions, research clinics, academic medical centers, or hospitals. Traditional trials require the best research sites and supportive solutions tailored to each trial and regional distinction.

Decentralized Clinical Trials (DCT)

Decentralized trials or DCTs are performed entirely, or partly, in the home. Home visits replace visits to the research site. Home visits are meant to reduce the stress of patients participating in the trial and eliminate the burden of traveling to the site. Decentralized trials require fewer physical research sites while expanding the geographical area of recruitment. Decentralized clinical trials may also be referred to as direct-to-patient (DTP) clinical trials, virtual clinical trials, remote clinical trials, at-home or in-home clinical trials, or hybrid clinical trials. DCTs require established and experienced infrastructure solutions that are unique to each region.

Expanded Access or Compassionate Use

Expanded access, also referred to as compassionate use, is a potential pathway for a patient with a serious or directly life-threatening disease or condition who gains access to an investigational drug or treatment that is outside of clinical trials. This is often made available when no alternative therapy options exist. Home visits often are the most preferred method of delivering care directly to patients due to the severity of their condition.

Patient Support Programs (PSP)

Patient support programs (PSPs) have emerged as a cornerstone in the healthcare landscape. These initiatives, offered by pharmaceutical companies, are designed to provide comprehensive assistance to patients who embark on new and complex medication treatment journeys. H Clinical understands the compliance dynamics of healthcare and the pharmaceutical industry to effectively bring PSPs home to patients in Latin America.
